L' Arc de Triomphe
L'Arc de Triomphe stands tall in the center of Place Charles de Gaulle. This monument was built between the years of 1806 and 1836. The arch comes together with the work of many architects, these include Jean Chalgrin, James Pradier, and Jean-Nicolas Huyot. L'Arc de Triomphe was built imhonor of those who fought in the Napoleonic War. On the side of the arc are engraved the generals who fought in the wars for France. L'Arc de Triomphe stands 162 feet tall and 150 feet wide.
FUN FACT!
The tomb of the unknown solider is found to be under L'Arc de Triomphe.
