La Basilique du Sacre Coeur is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The construction began in 1875 and was completed in 1914. Paul Abadie was the architect and he designed the building in a Romanesque- Byzantine style. It was built for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to be a place of worship and prayer. La Basilique du Sacre Coeur is 83 meters high from the highest dome.
FUN FACT!
It is believed that the actual sacred heart of Jesus is found with the statues of saints.
