La Conciergerie

                           La Conciergerie

La Conciergerie was a former prison in Paris. La Conciergerie was built in the early fourteenth centurey under the rule of Phillippe le Bel. It was originally built to be Philips the Fair palace but then was converted into a prison. La Conciergerie is 85 meters high and 27.5 meters long.

Fun Fact!
Wealthy prisoners were actually treated well, while poor prisoners were kept in dark rooms in the basement.
