La Cathédrale Notre Dame is the most famous Gothic church of the Middle Ages. The cathedral was finally completed in 1272, but it took over one hundred years to complete. It was initiated by Maurice de Sully and the foundation was laid out by Pope Alexander III. The Cathedrale was built for religious and political reasons, and it is also used as a historical landmark where you van find events that occurred even before the end of construction. La Cathédrale Notre Dame is 35 meters high and 48 meters wide.
